


OUR WORKS
WAPID South Sudan fights against extreme poverty, illiteracy/ignorance and diseases by focusing on interventions that break the cycles of inter-generational poverty; empower communities and individuals with skills and knowledge to rise above socioeconomic challenges; dismantle the barriers of ignorance and illiteracy; and combat the scourge of diseases in the country.
WAPID South Sudan prioritizes the unique needs of vulnerable populations, including women, children, and marginalized groups. Our Community-Based Psycho-social Support (CBPS) approach addresses the social, emotional/psychological and physical well-being of these individuals, promoting healing and resilience.
Goal #1:
Empowering Minds: Individuals and communities particularly women, youth and other vulnerable and marginalized groups are empowered and supported to thrive, free from illiteracy and ignorance and extreme inequalities, to unlock their full potential through equitable, inclusive access to quality education.



Functional Adult Literacy using activity-based group methodology

Individuals and communities, particularly women, children, adolescents and vulnerable youth from undeserved and hard to reach areas attain optimal health and well-being through enhanced access to quality, equitable and sustainable healthcare services, health education and community-based initiatives.
Goal #3:
Building Futures: Individuals and communities, especially women, youth and marginalized and most vulnerable groups affected by inter-generational poverty and conflicts are empowered and facilitated to access sustainable livelihoods, economic opportunities and social services to live a life filled with learning, health and economic security.
