WAPID South Sudan
WAPID South Sudan (War Against Poverty Ignorance and Diseases in South Sudan) is a Development and Humanitarian National Non-Governmental Organization in South Sudan. The Organization is mandated to contribute to the global fight against extreme poverty, illiteracy/ignorance and diseases by focusing on interventions that break the cycles of inter-generational poverty; empower communities and individuals with skills and knowledge to rise above socioeconomic challenges; dismantle the barriers of ignorance and illiteracy; and combat the scourge of diseases in the country.
As a community-based Organization, collaboration is at the heart of our work. We partner with local governments, civil society networks, and communities, and individuals to ensure our interventions are context-specific and effective. Our strategies include community engagement and participation; advocacy and policy dialogue; collaborative learning and adaptation; networking and partnerships. By working together, we amplify our impact and foster sustainable change in the community that we serve.
We are Committed to Empowering Minds, Healing Lives and Building Futures!
WAPID South Sudan prioritizes the unique needs of vulnerable populations, including women, children, and marginalized groups. Our Community-Based Psycho-social Support (CBPS) approach addresses the social, emotional/psychological and physical well-being of these individuals, promoting healing and resilience.
