WAPID South Sudan works with smallholder farmers (composed mainly of vulnerable women and youth) to ensure that individuals and communities, especially women, youth and marginalized and most vulnerable groups affected by inter-generational poverty and conflicts are empowered and facilitated to access sustainable livelihoods, economic opportunities and social services to live a life filled with learning, health and economic security.
- Training and capacity-building WAPID South Sudan equips smallholder farmers with the knowledge and skills they need to adopt sustainable, yet environmentally friendly agricultural practices and techniques.
- Quality Seeds and tools: We provide quality seeds and simple but effective farming tools to smallholder farmers, mainly women and youth, to improve their crop yields and boost their food security and nutrition.
- Link Smallholder farmers to market: WAPID South Sudan facilitates connections to market for farm inputs and outputs.
- Financial Literacy and Inclusion: We organize smallholder farmers into farming and saving groups. This is aimed at ensuring easy access to financial services, credits, and soft loans.
